It’s been a looooooong week. We lost a dear family member to cancer a few days ago and have been focused on family and remembrance. Temps have been ranging between the high fifties and the low seventies over the last week or so, so the dogs and I have been taking every single opportunity to get outside, enjoy the weather and clean up the yard. I learned a few things over the last couple of days…
* Though I thought I disliked walnuts, or, rather, I wasn’t very fond of walnuts, I learned that if you candy them in maple syrup, sugar, vanilla, butter and cinnamon, they’re damn good. Add them generously into a batch of maple ice cream and they truly rock.
